On Wednesday, June 11th, in the morning we had breakfast at the Henderson’s on the back patio overlooking Belton Lake. We went out and looked over the cliff at turtle and fish in the shallow. Even Gran went up to the overhanging (her first time ever.. and she’s been here plently of times. Aunt Jane took our photo.
After breakfast, we headed to Seabrook with Gran. In Rogers, Tx, Andrew spoted a winery off the road, Danicing Bee’s. Gran stayed in the car and called my Aunt Wendy. We sampled 5 wines/meads each. I liked the first two, but can only remember the one I liked most: a sweet raspberry wine. The third one was so fragrant, I couldn’t finish it. It tasted like perfume smells. The lady that gave us the tasting wasnt very friendly. I tried to start up a conversation with her and she was very responsive. But anyhow, in the shop they had lots of honey, olive oils and snacks to sample. Andrew bought a handful of honey straws, and we got to keep our wine glasses from the tasting.
We arrived in Seabrook and Gramps was buisy making a huge dinner... steak, baked potatoes.. Gran made squash and onions, and her famous baked beans. Wendy put together the salad. I saved my calories on the salad, told Gramps: I can eat a salad in Florida! My sister, Courtney came later, she brought her friend Victor. It was nice to see her, but I wish I had had more time and attention to spend with her. For awhile Courtney, Victor, and Andrew disappeared. Later determined that they had walked down to the park in the neighborhood to goof off on the playset. Andrew passed out, Courtney and Victor left. While they were gone, Aunt Wendy measured me and we ordered my wedding dress online. I hope that it turns out nicely!
